With that in mind, we’ve invested significant resources into ensuring that we have the most advanced technology possible — particularly, the Panorex. A Panorex is a technologically-advanced component of imaging machinery that is capable of identifying many issues and structures in ways that a normal x-ray is not able to do. Your child will sit in a chair and place their chin on a small ledge. Once they’re comfortably positioned in the machine, the Panorex will rotate around their entire head, taking a full 360-degree view of the teeth, head, sinuses and bones as it does so. The Panorex’s ability to view the full structure of your child’s head as a whole provides excellent information for the dentist. By doing so, it will allow us to see any potential problems that may be present, and it will help to make sure that everything is functioning as it should be. The Panorex takes a unique look at your child’s oral health, and can identify structural problems, infections, asymmetry, and other issues that may be present.
